Let's kick off the new year right! ๐ŸŽธ

How many times have you found yourself unsure of what to practice or feeling overwhelmed with learning scales, arpeggios, and techniques but not knowing how to apply them? You're not alone. You need a goal and at the end of the day the most important thing is learning music that connects with people.

๐Ÿ‘‰Nothing improves your playing more than playing with others. To do that you need common ground. Which means we need a repertoire of popular tunes we can play beginning to end.

Knowing the standard tunes in any genre gives you the ability to connect with people and more deeply understand the language of a style. You can play music that people know, jam with friends, get up on stage and immediately connect with a band and an audience. These common tunes are what we call "standards". They're popular songs that most people know and love.

๐Ÿ‘‰In this six week bootcamp we're going to learn six country standards beginning to end. That means we will learn the intros, outros, rhythm guitar figures and lead guitar concepts. In some case, we will also learn the written solos.

๐ŸŽธTunes like Guitars and Cadillacs, Blues Eyes Crying In The Rain, Working Man Blues, Stop The World, Heartaches By The Number and Liza Jane actually get called out all of the time on gigs and at jam sessions. These standards cover five decades, different feels and tempos.

This six week bootcamp will give you focused lessons to help you build repertoire, rhythm and lead chops.

๐Ÿ‘‰In addition to these lessons, during week three and week six you're invited to a LIVE zoom call with myself and the other students to answer all of your questions and help you with any hurdles you may have.

Each week you will be delivered three to four lessons that will give your playing a boost and focus your practicing.

By working through these lessons you will really know these tunes and have the confidence to play them with others.

All of the lessons are short and to the point. It's best to try to know every tune inside and out before moving on to the next but no worries if you miss one or don't get enough time to work on it. You can always double back. It's all a work in progress!
