Online Masterclass and Q&A Recorded on
Saturday, July 13th at 4pm ET
The masterclass can be rewatched as many times as you want. All the materials can also be downloaded
Country Soul music is a beautiful mix of Gospel, R&B, Soul, Country, Folk and the Blues. It's also an big sub genre of country music that every player should be exposed to. The concepts you'll learn in this masterclass can be applied to many other styles of music.
👉 What do artists like The Staple Singers, Ray Charles, Bobby Gentry and newer artists like Chris Stapleton and War & Treaty have in common? They have all made records or tunes in the Country Soul genre. Country Soul music will have us using a lot of concepts you often find in Gospel music. We'll be learning how to use sub dominants, secondary sub dominants, altered V chords, pianistic chordal figures and bluesy fills. This music will also have us covering techniques like double stops, steel bends, soloing with triads and hybrid picking.
Added bonus of this masterclass is that I'll be showing you how to do all of this stuff in one position using CAGED shapes and seeing the scales, arpeggios and triads that overlap them. This stuff will change the way you use the fretboard.
👉 The notation, TAB and track are included. If you come to the live masterclass you’ll get to take part in the live Q&A, If you can’t make it but still wanna learn about this music just sign up and the video of the masterclass will be posted the next day with all the materials.Â
