Cuban Surf Guitar Masterclass

If you're a fan of surf guitar and latin music you do not want to miss this masterclass!

I've been wanting to do a masterclass on Cuban surf guitar for awhile now. I'll be primarily focusing on a sound created by the great Cuban guitarist Manuel Galban. Manuel Galban was a Cuban music star in the 1960s who created a sound that combines reverb drenched guitars and Cuban son music. In the late 90s Manuel Galban teamed up with legendary guitarist Ry Cooder to make a record called Mambo Sinuendo. This record left a huge impact on me and a ton of other musicians. This music is filled with so many fun harmonic, rhythmic and melodic approaches that no matter what music you play you’re gonna find inspiration here.

I’ll be sharing the scales, chords, arpeggios and concepts used in this music along with breaking down a solo in this style.

The notation, TAB and track are included. If you come to the live masterclass you’ll get to take part in the live Q&A, If you can’t make it but still wanna learn about this music just sign up and the video of the masterclass will be posted the next day with all the materials.

This is gonna be a fun one. Sign up and I’ll see ya Saturday.
